UFC to Hold Toronto Fan Event

UFC® DESCENDS UPON TORONTO IN ADVANCE OF HISTORIC ROGERS CENTRE APRIL EVENT

PRESS CONFERENCE AND FREE FAN EVENT TO BE HELD AT ROGERS CENTRE ON FEBRUARY 8

UFC® CHAMPIONS GEORGES ST-PIERRE AND JOSE ALDO ARE JOINED BY NO. 1 CONTENDERS JAKE SHIELDS AND MARK HOMINICK, ALONG WITH DANA WHITE AND TOM WRIGHT

In anticipation of what promises to be one of the most historic events in UFC® history, UFC® 129: ST-PIERRE VS. SHIELDS on April 30, the Ultimate Fighting Championship® announced today it will host a press conference and free fan event at Rogers Centre on Tuesday, February 8. UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre and featherweight champion Jose Aldo will be joined by No. 1 contenders Jake Shields and Mark Hominick, along with UFC President Dana White and Canadian Director of Operations Tom Wright, for a press conference at 1 p.m. ET followed by a special Q&A period and autograph session for fans from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. ET.

Fans will have the opportunity to speak directly with White, Wright and St-Pierre in a one-hour Q&A session from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Feb. 8. Canadian fighters and Toronto area natives Sean Pierson and Claude Patrick will join Shields, Aldo and Hominick for an autograph session earlier that day, beginning once doors open at 4 p.m. (Please note – this event is on a first-come, first-serve basis – one autograph per person. Gate 9A entry).

Tickets for UFC® 129: ST-PIERRE VS. SHIELDS, presented by TapouT®, go on sale to the public on Saturday, Feb. 12 at 10 a.m. ET. Members of UFC® Fight Club™ will have the first chance to buy tickets on Thursday, Feb. 10 at 10 a.m. ET, followed by UFC newsletter subscribers on Friday, Feb. 11 at 10 a.m. ET. Fans can sign up for the UFC® Fight Club™ at www.ufcfightclub.com.

Tickets range from $300-$800 on the floor and from $50-$225 in the stands and can be purchased at all Ticketmaster locations and at Rogers Centre Box Office – Gate 9. To charge by phone with a major credit card, call Ticketmaster at 1-855-985-5000. Tickets also are available for purchase at www.ticketmaster.ca.

Approximately 40,000 tickets will be made available to UFC fans, with close to 25 percent under $100.

UFC® ANNOUNCES ON-SALE DATES FOR UFC® 129: ST-PIERRE vs. SHIELDS AT ROGERS CENTRE IN TORONTO

Toronto, Ontario, Canada – The Ultimate Fighting Championship® announced today that tickets for UFC® 129: ST-PIERRE vs. SHIELDS will go on sale to the public on Saturday, Feb. 12 at 10 a.m. ET. UFC® Fight Club™ members will have the first chance to buy tickets on Thursday, Feb. 10 at 10 a.m. ET, followed by UFC newsletter subscribers on Friday, Feb. 11 at 10 a.m. ET.

UFC® 129: ST-PIERRE vs. SHIELDS will be held at the Rogers Centre in Toronto on Saturday, April 30. Headlined by a UFC welterweight title bout between Montreal native and reigning champion Georges St-Pierre and the highly-touted Jake Shields, UFC 129 is the first major mixed martial arts event to ever be held in Ontario.

“The fans in Ontario have been asking for UFC events for a long time and on April 30, we have the chance to deliver,” UFC Director of Canadian Operations Tom Wright said. “We’ve secured the Rogers Centre and plan on putting together a tremendous event. With GSP vs. Shields and other great fights, fans are in for a real treat.”

Toronto Fan Event with Dana, Stout, Patrick

UFC® PRESIDENT DANA WHITE AND CANADIAN FIGHTERS PATRICK AND STOUT TEAM UP FOR FAN EVENT AT MAPLE LEAF SQUARE IN TORONTO TORONTO – UFC® President Dana White along with London, Ontario native and UFC lightweight fighter Sam “Hands of Stone” Stout and Toronto-resident and UFC welterweight fighter Claude “The Prince” Patrick are hitting Toronto on Tuesday, Dec. 7 for a public Q&A session and autograph signing to get fans geared up for UFC 124®: St-Pierre vs. Koscheck, taking place in Montreal on Dec. 11.
